 Hi there everyone - new to the forums!

Have a 1 year old pioneer VSX815S receiver that just started shutting down at mid volume -28 to -25. the display shows overload and then the receiver shuts down. I can immediately restart the receiver but it will do the same thing right away - it is not hot and has lots of clearance and does not run long befor eit does this a couple of minutes if that. Can anyone help me out with this asap as I would like to pick up another during the boxing week deals. - could it be the receiver or speakers?????? -wires are all tight on the speakers

thanks very much

Sounds like a proctection short feature.

Are you sure your speaker wires are not touching each other ?

Some system have the overload protection to prevent internal short circuit.

Check your speaker wires.. black and red must not touch each other... not even a thin hair

It could also be a peice of metal or a screw causing this.. or maybe a cockroach inside your receiver
