Trouble logging in Tuesday night

Last night when I visited the site I was greeted with a message saying I had exceeded my max login attemps and would have to wait 15 minutes to try again. Trouble is I have my password saved and didn't try to log in other than clicking my saved link to the site.

I came back a little later and my password didn't work over several tries (yes, I used the correct password) so I clicked the "forgot password" link and got a new one emailed to me. The new one didn't work over several tries either. When I came back today it accepted the new one and I changed it right away. I'm not sure if there was a glitch in the system or if someone had tried to hack my account, and I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything to warrant becoming a "miserable user," either way it was odd.

Anyone else having login issues?

I had this happen the other day as well. It seems it is a "glitch" when they do updates to the vBulletin. I had the exact thing happen back in december I think when the last update occured and it lasted for a day or so before I could log back in. There was a thread on this in the steam vent a while back.

Buncha whiners! What do we upgrade - once every two years? Funniest thing that happened was that I got a message from Chu Gai who thought someone had infiltrated his account as retribution for the AV123 thread... hilarious!

Well to his credit the message that you get is very cryptic (in my case it was also sending warnings to my email account). I know when it happened to me a few months ago I was a bit worried - enough to message another forum member off the forum to post my problem on the website.
