While perusing the threads tonight the security software blocked three trojans ans two scripts. Please be on guard everyone and run a scan tonight if you feel the need. Whether coincidence with being on this site with the occurence I cannot say.

I caught 3 trojans last week and 2 the week prior upon virus scanning my computer. I didn't post about them because I really didn't know what sites they came from and assumed it was from something I had Googled.

I haven't noticed any malware of any kind but the last few days I've heard 'Congratulations, you've been selected for a free iPod'. I didn't see any ads my mouse could have rolled over to trigger it so it could be an audio ad that is launched OnLoad in the body tag of the HTML. That is annoying.

Advertising is taking over the web and is in fact the entire business plan behind Google. It will only get worse. Years ago I thought about having a website that was nothing but banner ads as a kind of super electronic billboard. Don't be suprised if something like that arrives in the near future and the browser automatically redirects to it when you type in an invalid URL.

LOL... I was expecting to see something funny regarding the other type of Trojans.

Sorry about that. Next time I will make the thread heading more descriptive. I received a couple more last night. Upon investigating some it appears the AH privacy report could not be found therefore leading my Internet protection settings to initiate a block. Probably nothing to worry about but one cannot be to careful in these times.
