Posed this question in Dec 06-priced about the same-no replies

I think I saw it for about the same price then--still looking for more wisdow. Also, would it be okay to plug my other AH recommended tripp lite (under $5k system-Tripp Lite HT10DBS )- strip into this? Or is that overkill?

Tripp Lite's OMNI900LCD vs APC H10 Audioholics Recommended

Is there any difference in "voltage regulation" btw these two? Seems like the bottom one is just oriented at the computer market and will cost less than half of the Home Theater version of a similar product.

APC H10 Power Conditioner/Voltage Regulator
Price: $299 ($279 street price) [Find Lowest Price Online]
Sure, you can just get a surge protector for $10 and pray it works. On the other hand, with a few thousand dollars invested in home theater equipment you might want to be a tad more cautious. APC's H10 series gives you an unprecedented value in a unit that features noise filtering, surge protection, and automatic voltage regulation (yes, I did say voltage regulation) for under $300. It's also UL approved, unlike many (dare I say most) other power conditioning products, including those that costs about as much as a large LCD television and promise to make your colors more vivid, increase the size of your soundstage, and make standard definition television look like high-def. We use these (and the more robust S-series) in our reference systems - need we say more?

These have been $99 at Costco for the past year or two (I have three), and the local one (Torrance, CA) still has a large stock if anyone in SoCal needs them.

I have the CostCo one also... 1000 VA (OMNI1000)

It is so-so if you are used to a server level UPS. It does not last very long when the power is out and I do not have a powerful PC.

... in all not a bad deal, just not great.
