Treatments for this room setup?

Now that I will be getting my new sub very soon all that will be left to fully optimize my system will be some room treatments. I was showing my wife some acoustic treatments and she pretty much hated all of them but then we came across GIK Acoustics and their designer patterns so she is letting me get a couple to try out and if she likes it she will let me treat some more. Only thing is I don't really know what the difference is between the 242, 244, and monster bass treatments. This is how the room is set up as far as speakers goes with a legend on the bottom.

Black: Speakers and entertainment unit
Red: Sofa and other seat
Green: proposed starter treatments

Now in the corner between the couch and other seat my wife will be adding a side table and I will be putting the sub underneath it. I will be adding another treatment right behind it where it wont be seen. Is that recommended? Also one side of the room is completely open to the kitchen and the other is one big window so I can't put any treatments on either side. The only other thing I could think off was add another panel or two on the ceiling?

As you step from the 242 to the 244 to the Monster, they get progressively thicker and provide progressively more bass control deeper into the range.

We have a product that's not on the web site yet called the Pillar Trap. This is a 16" square absorber that does an excellent job in the bottom end, comes with GOM fabric standard, and has a top plate and corner edging that is stained in a variety of colors to match your decor. This could work instead of the table and can be dressed up with a sculpture, a plant, etc. on top of it. The sub would go well next to it.

For the rest of the room, the 242 or 242 Elite would be a good choice behind the speakers and then as you add more, along the side walls for reflection control.
