I have several players: A Marantz, Harmon Kardon that the drawer wants to close on it's own. I have to grab the tray to load or unload a disc.
Does anyone have similar issues with their players? Is there an easy fix?

It is probably a mechanical problem. As the tray comes out it is likely meeting resistance somehow and that is making it return.

You will have to take the player apart to see what is causing the problem.

I was hoping to hear from someone who has had the same issue I described, and found a way to fix it.

Without a model number of the unit involved, your chances for a suitable reply diminish considerably.

I have similar issue with one of my universal players. I doubt it is something hard to fix but I have never bother to take it apart as I can still use it with minimum inconvenience. If it gets really bad then I will take it apart and fix it. Actually, after stop using it for a long time, it fixed itself. I am sure it will start doing it again eventually.

The Harmon Kardon is a HD7300 and the Marantz is a DV3002.
