Transformer and power conditioning

Can someone please help me. I recently bought a Yamaha a2010 receiver for use in uk but received a usa version, unfortunately i was away offshore when it got delivered and now the 30 day return period has expired. Iv ordered a 2000va Tacima 240/120v transformer from uk. Not sure if i will need to condition between this unit and my receiver using a usa power conditioner.

That receiver is no use to you in the UK. US is NTSC ad UK PAL.

Also the FM de emphasis is different in the two countries, 50 msec for Europe and 75 msec for the US

See if the store will let you return it, since it is unused.
