Trading Yamaha 5960 for RXV1500. Good deal?

There's a person locally who wants to trade my 5960 for his v1500. The 1500 is a year older than my 5960. The reason he wants it is for Ipod and since I don't use it, I'm debating whether the 1500 would sound better than my 5960. I give up 1 component in but gain an optical. It also theoretically have more power and I just like the drop down door look to it. However, I am very satisfied with my 5960's sound. Has anyone compared the two and should I go ahead with the trade?

Receiver features

The 1500 retailed for over $1k and should have a better pre-amp and amp section then your receiver and the nice aluminum face plate. Don't expect to hear a huge difference due to an extra 20 or 30 watts though.
Sounds like a good trade if it is in good condition and you won't need the XM or ipod features of your model.
