Hi Clint,

thanks again for keeping us up to date!
I have a question for you:

quite recently I've bought a LCD HDTV, model SONY KDF - E 4210 and I've been searching for how long would the lamp lasts, without success.

Based on your info, it's logical to assume that the maximum lifespan would be about 8,000 hours, and less than average, 3,000 hours, for any kind of lamps, or only for the TOSHIBA models?

Cheers / Avliner.

I was beginning to worry when I saw the thread topic because I just bought a 62HM95. Now I am just hoping that this series doesn't end up on the defective list.

I would like to mention that I've been nothing but happy with all the Toshiba products I've owned, and when the products did have problems Toshiba was very responsive. But like anything else, experiences and opinions with companies are like butt holes, everyone has one.

Hi Clint,

I have another question for you:

are the lamps on LCD RPTV's the same ones used on DLP's??

I would be willing to bet that the HM95 series end up on the list. We have had nothing but issues with them at BB. Lots of bulbs blowing within the the first year.
