Toshiba HD-A2 for $199

I don't know if I'm allowed to point out prices on this forum, and if I'm not, I apologize. Anyway, Crutchfield.com has the Toshiba HD-A2 for $199. Well, they don't actually have it; it's back-ordered until the end of June. But they are selling it for $199 after several instant rebates. I ordered one and was able to get free shipping with code PA145.

I actually think that he moved it from another section, but I'm not sure. That said, you are correct...

By the way, even though I decided to ante up and buy one of these for 199, I'm suspecting that my this Christmas, I'll thinking that I paid twice as much as I should have.

Yeah but you probably won't get the five free HD DVD's. Interesting, if you look at the top price it says $100 instant rebate, but at the bottom of the page it says mail in rebate. I think the mail in rebate is incorrect. I went to Costco to buy one of these for $249 but they didn't have any in stock. Maybe only in So. Cal.? I think I'll place the order at Crutchfield and wait for it.

Last time I looked, you had to buy the Matrix Trilogy to get the extra two free ones. The other five are the ones Toshiba is offering with a purchase.

This deal, or mistake, is now gone. They have posted a 6/26/07 shipping date. Did anybody else get one for $199 delivered?

$239 by itself, $299 with 5 free discs (their choice) OR 3 free discs of your choice ($21.99 ea) AND a free HDMI cable, plus the 5 from Toshiba. All pretty good deals. I am seriously thinking about doing this simply for the 8 free discs.... They also said that if you want discs that are outside of their $21.99 list, you simply pay the difference.

I'm pretty sure it was a mistake, definitely did not last all that long, sorry I missed it, but Costco locally had it for $250 including the HDMI cable, and I did not have to wait to get it (of course now I have to wait for my plasma, so...). Had to try 3 stores to find one that had them (fortunatly there are a ton around here, and my fiancee said it was marked as $350 with no signage about the $100 instant rebate, but it rang up correctly at $250.
