I just purchased the Denon 3806. I have a Toshiba SD-V592SU DVD/VCR player, with a HDMI output for the DVD. I also have a Toshiba 52HMX94 televison. I have satellite going into one of the HDMI inputs on the Denon and the DVD going into the other HDMI input on the Denon, and have HDMI going out of the Denon into the TV.
No matter what I try, I cannot seem to get any picture or audio out of the DVD, which worked fine before the Denon and works fine when connected directly to the HDMI input of the TV. I have checked and double checked that everything is set up right. Sometimes, I will get a few seconds of screen when the DVD player is reading the disc (before it plays) and it will show the Toshiba DVD image...but then it goes away and I get basically a screen full of green snow!
