Hi All,

I am looking at upgrading myself from a 43" Pioneer plasma which is about 4 years old now to an LCD (cannot believe I am looking at an LCD ). I was really impressed with the Samsung 52" 750 series but since the 55" 950 is launching in a couple of weeks here in Canada i am going to wait. Now I heard about this new SRT technology from Toshiba.

Damn it !!!!!! I am so confused. Which would be the best to invest in.

my setup is Denon 4308 CI, PS3 , Pioneer Upconverting DVD player ( A cheap one ) , Wii , Axiom Epic 80 500 , Bell Express VU HD

Any help in this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

For the price of those, I would do the 60" Pioneer Elite plasma and get the best performance available regardless of technology.

I would do the Samsung if it had to be either one of those LCDs.

The regular 60" Pioneer would be a great option also. As would a 58" 850 series Panasonic.

I dont think that the Toshiba 52xv545u is meant to compete with the Samsung LN55A950 .. The Toshiba 52xv545u is set to retail around $2500 and the Samsung LN55A950 retails for around $5,000 ..

The A950 is certainly the *better* LCD, but I certainly wouldnt pay $5,000 for it when i could get the excellent (or at least expected to be be excellent) Toshiba 52xv545u for half the price .. I guess it all comes down to how much youre able/willing to spend.
