torn between denon 3805 & pioneer vsx-55txi

Hi there. I'm shopping for a receiver and universal dvd player, and I have it narrowed down to two possible combinations. I'm torn between:

1) denon 3805 w/dvd-3910: I like denon's reputation but am disappointed in the lack of firewire support on this receiver. I simply can't afford the 5805, but I still want to have a digital connection for dvd-a and sacd. I could use denon link here but that only works for dvd-a so far, I know there will be a s/w upgrade to get the sacd working over denon link but that could take months, I don't want to wait.

2) pioneer elite vsx-55txi w/dv-59avi: This seems like the best option all around because of the firewire support, but I do want to be sure that it will work for both dvd-a and sacd, does anyone out there have this combination and has tried it? However I hesitate before going with pioneer because I've been a denon fan for many years now, any thoughts on this?

Thanks. :) -Mikey

Most people here would like to know what kind of speakers you have to match with the denon or elite, since they are at the opposite ends of the scale, the elite being warmer and the denon brighter or more detailed if you would. So let us know that and i'm sure you will get some recommendations as both are great products, it is just that some speakers match better with others

Got it, thanks. I plan on pairing the receiver with Aperion Audio Intimus: four 522DL-R's, a 522D-C center channel, and the S-10 subwoofer.

The 4805 is to be announced any day now, even if it's features/price are out of budget it's expected arrival may lower the street price of 3805s.
