No you purchase a pair of Mackie HR 824's a blow them all away.

If you really need to listen to them first, I'd say try to find someone local who has them who might be willing to let you audition them. Next choice is to order one pair from each and keep the ones you like the best. Other than that, it's basically impossible to tell which you will prefer.

I've heard those Mackies. Damn fine speakers. KRK also offers something similar. Mackie also sell ones which are not powered.
