Hello everybody!

Im in the process of upgrading my setup and the problem is fairly simple ... do I incorporate the existing parts of my system, or do I start fresh! The problem comes that it is impossible for me to demo this, which I understand is the only way to be sure ... so maybe you can help.

The pieces in question are a pair of Dali Ikon 2 Mk2, and an Dali E12F sub.

I have already decided to get an Anthem 720, which leaves me about 7000e for speakers.

Initially I was looking at getting Monitor Audio Gold 5.1 setup (300, C350, FX, W15).

So ... should I incorporate my existing Dali speakers giving me more money to spend on some floorstanders and a centre?

Or should I just start fresh and go for the whole Gold setup?

Maybe I should stick with Dali?

What are the sort of things I should be considering here?

All thoughts will be appreciated :)

If you like the Dalis, no reason to start all over with a different brand. You could use some Ikon 1’s for surround speakers and an Ikon Vokal for the center channel.

Might also want a 2nd sub like the one you have. Dual subs, when well placed, can have the benefit of a smoother frequency response through a wider seating area. Many people find it a good sound improvement.

I would double up on the subwoofer and find optimal placement via room measurements. I would also get a matching center speaker for the dali front stage speakers.
