Hello,
I would like to relocate my TT farther away from av rack. I have a DIN to RCA's cable 1.5 meter length. I would like to add an additional 8-10' of interconnect to this existing tonearm cable. Any suggestions? Also by adding extra length will I degrade the signal. I was told to keep tonearm cable length below 3 meters. Thanks guys.

Not recommended. The capacitance added by the 10' of cable may cause a substantial frequency response error in this particular interface. The best way to add length in such a situation is to use a small phono pre near the TT and then use a long cable from the line level output from the phono pre so that it is not effected substantially.

Chris,
Thank you, I kind of thought that, when I purchased the cable it was suggested to keep a minimal length in order to avoid the exact thing your are talking about, your preamp advice is useful and I will do that. Sometimes I amuse myself with simple mindedness, thank you for your very helpful solution.
Best regards...Jeff
