i have this speaker http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-468&vReviewShow=1&vReviewRand=2736812#reviews
and i need a box. will pair with either 500 watt amp or 1000 not sure yet any insight on that will be awesome too.

i can either buy a 3.0 cu ft sealed box or i can build one. would a 3.0 sound good?

if i build id like it to be around 6cuft maybe bigger.

i dont have software so i need plans/dimentions from you guys

what do you think build or dont build if build i need your plans and dimentions i do have tools might need to buy a circular jig but no prob.

Hi,

WinISD is a free, easy to use modeling program. You can download it here. Plug in the T/S parameters found here. A 500W amp will be sufficient, as the driver is rated for 500W RMS. Don't forget that a plate amp is only one option. You could always use a 'regular' amplifier and keep it with your equipment stack. And lastly, a large, ported enclosure will give you deeper extension and higher efficiency than a smaller, sealed enclosure. The "boomy" sound associated with ported enclosures is the result of widespread ignorance, improper placement, and poor subwoofer design.
