This is a newbe question but i hope you guys can help me out. I just got a new lcd tv. Its a view sonic 2010. It says nothing about being HD but on the box(only the box no the manual or online) it says it will accept 720p and 1080i resolution. So is it HI Def or not?

Nice set. Especially for the price. 640x480 is not high def. but will look wonderful with a high def signal, as well as dvd. It's 16ms video response time is also better than average for PC LCD monitors. Just don't expect much with a standard def signal from cable. It's similar to my 20" Olevia which I use primarily for a PC monitor. It's outstanding with internet as well as dvd's, but pretty shoddy with my standard cable feed. It's got an 800x600 resolution.
