tinned marine wire vs reg speaker wire

is there any peculiar reason why wire with this specification:

vs regular 12awg speaker wire be any better or worse for home audio? IMO it seems to be the same stuff with better resistance, but I'm not 100% sure.

It's boat cable, and has insulation that are for use where it's exposed to oil & water, heat, the usual stuff you'd find in bilge (sp?) of a boat.

I've seen it used in marine and automotive. The tinned copper conductor is preferred due to it's resistance to corrosion.
The stranding is very fine, and that adds to it's flexibility.
Wire is wire, it would be fine for speaker use.
It just so happens that it was made for a specific application.
