My Sony KDF60WF655 has 10595 hours on the original lamp. I think I am finally starting to notice some dimming of the picture and want to replace the lamp. DOes aybody know a good place to buy a lamp at a decent price? Should I just look for hte cheapest one on ebay or Google shopping?

WOW! Glad to hear you got over 10K hours from your lamp!

I've only purchased a lamp once and it was from this vendor:

http://www.discount-merchant.com/
$114.99 on that site for the lamp and what appears to be no housing. I think I have seen them as cheap or cheaper with the housing. I guess I don't really need the housing as it should be pretty simple to swap the new lamp in to my old housing.

Just be extremely careful when you put the lamp in the new housing, as even the oils from your fingers may cause the lamp to explode. Clean gloves are a must, obviously.

I finally got around to replacing the lamp today. The original has 12152hrs on it. The lens is pretty cloudy, but it was still working. I'm going to keep it as a back up.

The picture is much brighter now. It's amazing how you don't really notice how dim it gets over time.

Does anyone know how to reset the LampCT on this thing? I found a million places that said how to reset hours, but I couldn't find any place that showed how to reset count.
