Yeah... the whole thing seems kinda odd. There's no way she busted the window in an attempt to save him. He was leaving... she smashed the windows... causing him to lose control.

They're playing it all wrong. He should have just come out and said, "Yeah, like most people, my wife and I got into a good one. I was being an idiot and tried to be cool and take off, but lost control and smashed the car."

End of story. Now, they're refusing to talk to police and it's creating even more speculation.

Well, breaking the glass next to his head probably wouldn't have been too safe.

I'm not saying that I buy the story, but I can understand breaking the glass furthest away from him if it turns out to be true.

I think it's a private matter, with two caveats:

Wealthy people seem to get off easier than us common folk.
If that were any of us, we'd be given a Breathalyzer test at HQ, and the car impounded.
