Oh man, gotta help me.......

So, I have been a faithful listener to HDTV Guys and starting listening to the AV-Rant podcast and started with podcast #3 Calibration

Trying to "optimize" my system. Went to the THX website:

(unable to post because my "post count must be 5 or greater)

Sure enough my “60th Anniversary Commemorative Edition” of “Pearl Harbor” standard DVD two-disc set does show on the back under “Special Features Include”

• THX-Certified—Includes THX Optimizer

For the life of me I can’t find this program/feature/optimizer/utility/tool or whatever it is. I tried finding it on my Blu-Ray Player and then my Standard DVD Denon player. No luck…HOW DO YOU GET TO THIS FEATURE?..

I’m I wrong here and I misunderstand this feature? I thought it was some program I could open and optimize my video/audio?

HELP!

Mitsubishi DLP 65"
WD-65734 1080P HDTV
Dish Network ViP722 Satellite Receiver/DVR
(Outdoor Winegard Sensar Antenna for over-the-air HD Local Channels)

Denon AV Surround Receiver AVR-1506

Definitive Technology ProMonitor 100 Speakers
100tl Subwoofer

Blu-Ray Sony BDP S300
Firmware: Version 3.95

It should be listed under the "setup" menu. Not on the player itself but where you would select from things like scenes or extras.. etc... I dont know about that particular disc but Im pretty sure thats where it is on my other dvd's that have it.

The THX optimizer is kind of a fast and dirty way of calibrating things. If you want to get more serious take a look at the Avia disc or perhaps the Digital Video Essentials disc.

Found it. Yes, I was looking under the special features on the disc. It was under “setup” but, it was not featured as the other material that is; there was no sentence stating “THX Optimizer” like the other offered options. Instead, there was a large THX icon which I thought was just part of the graphics. I looked a bit closer and this THX icon had “optimizer”. That was it.

Thanks for responding and I will look into those DVD suggestions.
