Thoughts on current SVS PB12-Plus DSP

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the subwoofer from SVS (PB12-Plus DSP). How does it compare to other subs in that price range (~$1400). Taking into account form and function, is it a good buy? Would most of you recommend it? Thoughts?

EDIT: As a follow on question, do most people go with the standard 20Hz tuning? Is the 16Hz tuning better for Home Theater viewing?

The PB12 Plus, good sub, but has since been surpassed in performance by others in the same price range. If I were to use one, I would use it in the 16 Hz configuration. I like the gloss black finish.

For $1000 you could get better performance than the $1400 PB-12 plus. I would look at a 15 inch model from PSA (has same warranty, upgrade and free trail but only 30 days), HSU or Rythmik. And if you did want to spend $1400 look at 18 inch models.
