Thoughts about this "DEAL"

I have the opportunity to buy a decent surround sound system that consists of the following:

All Klipsch
(2) WF-35
(1) WC-24
(4) WS-24
(2) XW300D subs

IT's new and can get it for $2999. Thoughts about the price and just this system in general? Also, if I do get these what is a great receiver to use with them?

Amazon prices put whole set at $3375. I don't think $2999 for entire purchase is a such great price - not bad almost $400 off, but it's mere 10% retail...

Not familiar with new Klipsch speaker series yet - for 3k I'd highly rec to take some time to listed to it before buying.

3k for HT in general should bring you a lot of options, but by any means Klipsch isn't bad one

I have never heard a Klipsch sub that impressed me but that one looks cool if that counts for anything.

Is Klipsch getting away form horns?

Those Klipsch's are nice, but you have a lot of options for 3k. You could get 19 pairs of B2030P's and a Dayton Sub-120!!

Kidding, lol. But you do actually have a lot of options. I'd find an audio shop nearby to listen to different speakers and see what you like.

$3000 give or take a few hundred bucks is my limit. What other options are recommended with these considerations:

Need 4 satellite/surround speakers, two floor fronts, center channel, and would prefer two subs? Anything thing better than my klipsch option fit into this set up?

I agree with what adwik said, this HSU set will be fine in your 20x45 area

unfortunately the wife factor appreciates the asthetics of the klipsch vs the warehouse look of the HSU. Is HSU far superior for the price? Even if I can upgrade to the klipsch xw500 subs for the same price?

There is a clearance sale on the Hsu's speakers in the Espresso finish, which is pretty glossy, I think they look pretty nice. The Klipsch WF's look like good speakers, although I don't think you are getting a really really great, unpassable deal on them. I would be much more interested in the higher end RF series at that same price, minus the Klipsch subwoofer. The Hsu subs really are that much of a superior value over the Klipsch subs. I can't really speak for the speakers though, as that is more of a matter of personal taste, plus although I have heard lots of Klipsch speakers, I am not as intimately familiar with them as I am with the Hsu's. I do own the Hsu's, I think they are terrific speakers. I would love to get some Klipsch, but I think the only Klipsch that would be a big improvement over what I have now is the higher end reference series- outside, of course, their THX or Palladium stuff, obviously. Man, those Palladium towers look sweeet sweeet sweeeeet oh mannn......

Whatever you do, don't buy a Klipsch sub. Extremely underwhelming. I owned an RW-12d for about 3 weeks before returning it. Boomy with no real "punch". Get and SVS or HSU instead. If WAF is a big concern the SVS PB12-plus in piano black is a real looker. only $200 more than an XW500 for 5x the performance. If you want something smaller then have a look at the sealed models.

Seriously considering 2 epik empire subs.
Your looking at Epik and won't get an HSU because of the WAF? Something is wrong with this picture. :)

HSU, SVS, and Epik all make great subs. You have different finish options with HSU and SVS, with Epik you are stuck with a much more industrial finish and don't have any options in that regard.

Very true about the industrial finish on the epik but for the price difference the wife will gladly accept the lack of pleasing asthetics.
