This month Home Thater Magazine did a review on what I consider to be an intriguing design..a coaxial speaker enclosed by a spherical enclosure. It got favourable reviews but I'm shocked at the frequency response of these little orbs. I thought that coaxial drivers had a tighter frequnecy response than non non coaxial designs and I thought that the +/- deviation would be further tightened by the spherical enclosure. There frequency response was hair greater than +/- 3db . Why would this be?
