Looks pretty nice, since that is 90% of why I would ever buy a tube amp {looks}, I like this one... What is the cost of a pair?

I didn't see a price and the only US vendor seems to be a high-end shop in NY. My guess is that these things ain't cheap!

I'm with you on that, the price is just silly.

But the aesthetics and design, that is a different story. It has the wheels turning on my next project. Should make it easier to service and to add upgrades.

Definitely fits the "cool" bill, just not the bill-fold... A friend of mine used to build and repair tube amps as a side business {he did a great job on my wurlitzer 1080's amplifier} and he has built some pretty cool amps for people, he did one that looked like an old tractor hood for a customer, he also takes old cable boxes {you remember the really old texas instruments cable boxes from the 80's} and turns them into tube amps, nothing super powerful, I think they end up around 20w x2 and he makes the front number display display a volume number, they are pretty cool, he sells them for $1500 each!!! He built a pair of amps for a friend of ours, 450watts each!!! They are pretty simple built on stainless steal slabs that are 1/2" thick and raw cut around the edges {torch cut}...
Anyway, pretty cool stuff..

Next time you visit him, I would really, really like to see some pics if you don't mind!

Might give me some ideas and I certainly want to admire someones work that is in the same hobby and seems to know more about it than me.

PM me your email, I know I have some pics on here somewhere, Ill look for them this weekend, not sure which laptop they are on and in what folder, I really need to start name the pictures when I save them... I just tryed to check this laptop but I have 167 folders full of pictures on here...

I have a picture of one he did with everythnig exposed, he calls them tube/plate amps, he used copper tubing with a plastic tube inside of it then copper wire inside the plastic instead of wires, he polished the copper and soldered rite to it... very nice job, that was a 5 years ago, I will get some pics...
