This should work - Right?

I teach Technology in an Ohio H.S. I am going to do a unit on Audio next year. To that end I have asked for donations of Stereo equipment. I did have an amp but it was DOA. Today I got a Kenwood Recvr AR404, some Sony speakers SS-MB115. The Kenwwood doesn't but out much bass nor do the speakers but it does have a pre-out.
I also got a Kustom-Kasino bass amp and 15" speaker. I didn't have the right connectors to try it out but it supposedly works. I found pressious little info on the WWW about this setup except that its from the 70's and those that have one really like it (for bass guitars and some organs).
So, I'm thinking... Preout to the Kustom and drive the Sonys with the KW. I'm thinking just let the Bass roll off as is. I could always get a subwoofer xover later.
Does this sound like a plan or am I missing something?
Nevertheless the price was right.

A pro bass 15" driver is going to act more like a low Hz midrange than any type of woofer. The frequencies are quite high (in the bass region) with a bass guitar, thus the range won't do well with standard music. Pro drivers, especially that large, are built for power and output, not quality sound at low volumes. That coupled with your Sony speakers may make Bose sound good. ;)

A bass amp is intended to drive a sub type speaker, however I would expect it will work for most anything. The thing about the 15" is, it is likely it doesn't have it's own amp and it needs the bass amp to function. If that is the case, you would need an additional amp to power the Sonys, and use a splitter from the preout.

Note to J garcia. I was intending to use the music bass amp for the 15" bass guitar amp from the preout of the Kenwood.

However... yesterday someone gave me a pair of BIC america Venturi Formula 4. I tried to do a but of research on these but there isn't much out there. The are from the 70's, are three way with a tweeter that looks like a JBL LE20 and small horn loaded mid and a 10" woofer. They have a slot in the bottom (hence the name venturi) instead of a round port.
I have since made up some connectors to hook up the Kusino but haven't been back to school yet. I will post how my plan works out.

I was wondering if anyone know anything more about the BICs?
