I think around $180 would be a nice appealing price. It's lack of HDMI really hurts it's value in the present market, so keeping it under $200 makes it appealing for people shopping for a decent amount of power without all the new features while trying to save money.

I love that Pioneer VSX-1015TX-K, it is one of the very best in that price range from that year. Pioneer doen't make them like that anymore, unfortunately.

Can you just use it in a spare room? That's what I'll do myself. I rather make use of it than depart from it for only a miserable $200 or so.

Or another great solution; make a nice gift to your brother or your sister on his or her birthday. :)

Did you try to get another job, working night shift? ;)

About your brother, or sister? About your parents, don't they have any money?
About a loan from them, you can repay them, when you find a better job (like bank robber :D).
Just kidding. ;)

OK then... I'll help you... I'll buy it from you... to do you a big favor... I'll give you a hundred bucks... take it... or leave it. What you say? That's pretty nice of me, isn't it? Then you can call me your buddy, when we're done with the transaction. You take Pay Pal I suppose? ;)

Man! $200! I used to make that in half hour. No more, unfortunately. :(
Take me twice as much time to make that now. :(
Oh well, the recession, the bad economy might have something to do with it, I guess.

Yep, Seth=L was right, $200 is about what you might get for it. Any kids with money in your neighborhood? That 52" LCD Sharp must be quite something.
But then, you'll be looking for another receiver down the road!!!
Oh well, you can always sell that Sharp 52" LCD. :D

Good luck on your goals & dreams. May they become realities.

I think $200.00 is a fair price.

Hey Josh, it's a very nicely built receiver with a nice warm sound. At $200 it's a nice deal. Thinking of getting it? :)

* And by the way Josh, Welcome to AH Forums. :)

hey thanks for the reply! as of right now i have not sold the receiver as of yet. but as far as looking for another receiver down the road, i am super happy with the Yamaha RX-V2600 that replaced the Pioneer VSX-1015 and i do not see myself replacing that receiver anytime soon. :)

Wow! The Yammy 2600 is one of Chris favorite receiver, suppose to be excellent as a pre/pro, and it's amp section ain't shabby either.
No wonder you're super happy with it. :)

I think you're doing a great effort. :) You seem pretty fair overall, and you shoot your arrows very straight towards the bull's eye.

I had the 1017 and didn't like it -

In fact I just threw it in the trash....LOL

No one else wanted it. They were after other things they know I have....
