they have never been used and were in the box but they are ten years old. They are called 'HART' i have never heard of them and cant find them on the internet.

is this something to be worried about, i am not too familiar with bass bins in general

buddy is building some bins for them now and hooking me up with a 4000 watt club amp

Not sure what those are and without any specs on them, it is hard to build a good box for them. Maybe better to buy some new drivers since the bin is going to be the majority of the cost. If your friend is just building some scoops of random size for them, they'll probably sound like s**t.

thanks bro, i am gunna test em out, apperantly they have to be warmed up for like two hours before you pump them. buddy seems to know how to build proper bins, he is the guy who owns the subs. i am just worried that if they are ten years old they just wont be as good of quaility compared to for recent stuff.

Well, if they're free I guess you can play with 'em, but they're probably not worth building anything new around. Without the Thiele-Small parameters you can't properly design a box for 'em or figure out if they're any good.

My guess is they're not going to make very good home theater subs if you're after low end extension, but that might not be what you're after.

And, no sub I've ever seen needs to be "warmed up".

All my subs like to be warmed up before playing loud. They prefer a single malt scotch or Anjeo Tequila.

Scratch that...It's me that likes that.
