There's nothing special about it. It's just an enclosure, like a box. The nice thing is that it's easy to build, because you're essentially just putting caps on a tube. The tube itself also doesn't need braces because pressure gets distributed evenly around the circular cross section.

What exactly is the question? I read the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook and while round does have some advantages, testing showed that a box is just as efficient as a tube for speaker building. The advantage of a cylinder basically is that it is vertical and you don't take up a lot of floor space while still being able to get a large volume vs an equivalent size box. Cylinder subs have been around for a long time and they are every bit as competitive sound wise. It is usually appearance that some people don't like.

i was just wonderig if this was an infinit baffel,bass reflex,ect.but read your speaker page and found out.thanks
