Okay i think the last two threads I may have posted in the wrong places.

Please comment on any component of this you want because I haven't bought the components yet and am just working out prices right now.

List of components:
1. Sharp LC65SE94U 65 inch LCD tv
2. Onkyo TX-SR606 Reciever
3. Sony S550 blu ray player
4. Logitech Harmony 890 RF remote

First question is that will the onkyo reciever and sony blu ray work with the remote? I don't think the onkyo has a IR input. I can't find if the blu ray player does or not.

Okay so here is the set up. Above my fire place i am mounting the TV and the wall has electrical up there. There is a conduit that goes from that wall down my fireplace to the left side. Down there I have my inputs for my pre wired room for surround and electric. So i am going to have the receiver, direct tv HD box and blu ray player (and if i add components in the future) down to that left side of the fire place. I am going to run my direct tv and blu ray HDMI connectors to the reciever and then one HDMI wire from the reciever to the TV through the conduit. The conduit is about 1.5 inches in diameter and the HDMI cable fits through there. My sub will be in that area as well.

So my questions:

1. What do you think of the components?

2. What kind of HDMI wire should I use for the inter connectors and the long one in the conduit (about 16-18 feet will be needed). (i am looking at all the different kinds including on monoprice.com (can someone check out monoprice and tell me if the cables are worthwhile.

3. Will my harmony remote work with the components being hidden down on the left (there will be a chair in front of them most likely).

1.
the components seem nice. i have been running an Onkyo for the last 5 or so years without a single issue, but always great sound. when we upgrade in the near future, that Onkyo will go to our master bedroom, and it will be replaced by another Onkyo.
i don't care for Sony, but i would rather that unit over their two lower models from that one. i have not heard of one yet in any range that still does not have the occasional firmware issue. they always have updates, so i don't loose sleep over those things. buy it from a box store with an extended warranty and go with it.

2.
all of the A/V cables and wires in mine and my parent's houses are from monoprice.com. i am also running a pair of their in-ceiling speakers and LCD mount in our master bedroom. all of their products have far surpassed my expectations...and that is why i keep giving them money.

3.
no idea. seems like it would though.

1. The reciever will probably be a good choice, but what speakers are you planning on driving with it?

2. I am currently using a handful of monoprice cables. They work great, can't beat them for the price. If you look around at a few cable dealers some sell the exact same cables for 3-4 times the price.
You also might look a bluejeans cables. I don't have any but several people on this site swear by them.

3. Harmony has a compatibility guide

The remote should work with most any IR device. The remote uses RF to talk to its basestation, then sends IR from there to the components to prevent line of sight issues. So the chair shouldnt be a problem.
