I just wanted to share my thoughts on the awesome Who show last night at the TD BankNorth Garden. I took my son (he's 11) to see the show , and it was incredible!
I wrote about it on epinions.com, a consumer site that I write for.
The Who Rock TD Banknorth Garden Dec 2, 2006
In September, the Who played at the Virgin Festival in Baltimore. They hadn't been on tour around here since before most of the attendees were born and they were scheduled along with groups like the Killers, the Racontuers, Gnarles Barkley and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I was amazed. Not only were the Who great, but they got the biggest response of the festival with 15 years olds singing along, knowing the words to the songs. Pete Townsend keeps his feet mainly on the ground these days, but his playing hasn't dimished a bit since the "Live at Leeds" days. Daltrey's voice has gotten somewhat husky but the spirit and energy is still there. By the way, I saw your breakdown of the cost ad the Virgin Festival was $98 for the whole day, with 2 stages and about 20 groups. many came just to see the Who; a huge bargain. I went with a bunch of teen kids, including my daughter and son, both of whom remarked that who could possibly NOT like the Who.
