in the World Cup.:( Just lost to Ghana 2-1 which isn't a real surprise but it would have been nice to see them get a little farther.

Oh well, there is always 2010.:D

I was rooting for the US. I'm switching to Ghana. It would bother the hell out of everbody else if Ghana goes all the way.:eek:

While it would have been nice to make it out of the group stages we would have lost to Brazil in the round of 16. And now to wait until 2010, hopefully Adu will play for the US then and not Ghana.

Just my opinion, but I find soccer to be an reasonably boring game punctuated by incredibly bad acting (of being injured). Arena's 5-4-1 strategy might be the most boring form of attack, as well. Donovan forgot how to be offensive and Johnson was lucky to get any minutes. You can't win if you don't play to score. Hrrrumph. One goal in the tournament (not counting the Italian self-goal for the U.S.) is pretty sad. Thank goodness for Major League Soccer and Dempsey.

Bruce Arena and the refs played too large a part in these games.

I'm with you. I'm rootin' for Ghana.

You know, there is a large species of bird in South America, similar to the ostrich. It's called a Rhea. Imagine if it came from Africa, as well. Ghana's mascot could be a .........Ghana Rhea. ;)

All is not lost, for me , anyhow.

Brasil is kickin' Japan's butt.

Correction: Brasil KICKED Japan's butt, 4 - 1 final.

And, having a Brasilian wife and four Brasilin brothers-in-law who ALL love to party, and who all live in Newark, a short drive from us, it looks like it'll be party time on Ferry Street tonite!

I hope Portugal does take it!!! Go Portugal Go... In all honesty though it's most likely gonna be brazil or argentina. Hut there is still hope since we are 3-0

Ghana is going to win. We beat Brazil to win the under 20 would cup two years ago. We are not afraid of Brazil. :p:cool::D

By the way sorry we had to beat you guys (U.S). I mean its just a game, right?
