http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2064228,00.asp A good article on some surprising changes (at least to me) that may come about due to Creative's workings and Windows Vista's new audio stack. Vista will basically deny hardware level access to the audio stack essentially preventing hardware accelerated sound, whereas Creative is hoping to combat this issue with it's new OpenAL spec. But where does this leave us? Check it out.
