Anyone here enjoy the beauty and excitement of thoroughbred horse racing? (I know at least one, :D !)

Let's hear your thoughts on tomorrow's fabled run for the roses, the Kentucky Derby.

I'm taking (I'll even put 2 bucks on his nose) A.P. Warrior, the 10 horse.

If I owned a horse, I would name it fear, or maybe stay (come stay!). :D

I have met a few horses, I don't like them much and I have a scar on my leg from one of them. I think they are about one of the dumbest animals on the planet, a cow is smarter than a horse. I basset hound is smarter than a horse and being a former owner of a basset hound I can vouch for their stupidity. Wonderful loving dogs, great with kids, and nice pet, but dumber than a house plant. Anyway, I don't like horses much except maybe in a bowl of chili

They say people often resemble their pets. So let me guess, you have a big nose, long floppy ears and stumpy little legs.

I agree, horses are truly beautiful creatures.

I'd love to own a horse myself, except I don't like living in the country, nor do I have the money to stable one, so I'll leave horse owning for those who can.

As for my riding skill...I've done quite a few horseback camping trips. You want fun...those are great..ride out about 20-30mi to set up camp..etc..well, so long as you know how to control your horse :)
