If your open to a DIY solution the Kappa's make a great pair and keep it in the infinity family(that doesn't matter really). :D

For that cost you can probably hire a contractor to build the subs for you.

SVS or Epik would be nice too.

I'd look at this though

A single one of those would be very nice. :)

Just curious, do you have a link to some evidence that substantiates this? I'm not doubting, I know Mark designs some amazing stuff, bu I'd like some more info...

Thanks

I think its more subjective than anything.

There's presently no data to support that claim. It's mere conjecture.
Well I've read more than a couple reports on AVS where people have gone from dual Ultras and been more impressed with the single Submersive.

Granted people tend to over-compensate for their purchases so who knows how much the difference is (if there truly is one).

Again, those are subjective claims. I don't doubt that the Submersive is a super sub, I've read those posts too, but I've yet to see any real anechoic measurements, at max out put, of the Submersive, by a third party as was done with the Fathom and Ultra by Illka last year (and probably never will).:)

Seaton Submersive...for about $2000 shipped.
I'd also recommend this sub based on what I've read. Additionally, there's also great subs by HSU(dual drive ULS-15), SVS (PB/PC13), Epik and eD. Of course there's the possibilty of a great DIY project as well...WmAx could help you there.

Is there any WAF for the sub? Does size matter, canbiet finish?

Since dual ultras are not within the budget, we can forgo that argument. I like the dual epik recommendation, but Id do the dragons instead.
