Audiophyte
Over the last few months, I have been making HT equipment purchases. Since I was starting with nothing, and looking to take small steps, the first goal was to have a system that did 2-channel audio very well, and be able to expand to multi channel in the future. I met this goal, and have been very happy so far.

The next round of purchasing will fill out the speakers, then the TV.

In the meantime, I want to incorporate the cable tv and xbox 360 into the mix. Currently, the cable comes out of the wall, into the box (SA Explorer 3100HD from Time Warner), then to the TV. The Xbox goes straight to the tv.

Would it be best to run the audio out of the tv and into the Parasound, or should the cable and xbox go into the Parasound, then on to the tv?

For either option, what cables will I need to accomplish this?

I know if I look at it long enough, I can figure it out, but I am trying to not reinvent the wheel.

Thanks in advance-

If you intend to use your external speakers for TV viewing and xbox play, then send the audio signals to the processor only.
