Ok, so not the new phonebooks...but my new AV stand.
As usual they only followed 95% of the design. It is a basic 66" wide stand with two rows of three compartments in Oak and stained Antique Cherry. The left and right compartments have a fixed shelf and I had wanted the center area to have an adjustable shelf so I'd have extra height to accomodate the center channel speaker sitting on top of Auralex MoPads (to angle it up towards the listening area). Well they made the center shelf fixed AND drilled the holes for an additional adjustable shelf. I accepted it anyway as it probably won't be an issue and I'm not about to wait another 4-6 weeks for them to build another one.
I ordered an APC H10 power conditioner, which will be here by Thursday.
I also decided to go with Crutchfield for the Toshiba 52LX177 LCD. With no tax and free in-home delivery it is actually $150 cheaper than going with the only local option I have. The local store won't even let you touch the remote to test-drive the TV so I am not supporting them. Besides, Crutchfield has a 30 day price protection policy and this TV has gone from $4K to $3,800 to $3,200 in the space of two weeks. I'm betting they will discount it further in the next 30 days and I'll get a small refund.
I may miss the Thanksgiving day goal by a day or two since it takes 5-7 business days for delivery but at long last my dry spell is coming to an end. Should have the new TV and the old audio equipment and speakers setup in the newly revamped living room with new couches by the end of next week at the latest.
