The Lovely Bones - I saw it last night and was disappointed. I read where Jackson had to delete a lot of content from the book to fit into a reasonable length movie, but my impression is that it had way too much dead air. A lot of floaty, fantasy put into a cop story. It seemed like a Night Shamayan movie, especially since it was set in Pennsylvania. Anybody else see it? Impressions?

I'll have to agree with you on this one, too much CG too little good acting.
Wahlberg was in usual pretending to act mode, Weisz barely present and even the bad guy didn't seem so bad....
Perfect example how home brew sicko's should act watch One Hour photo. Robyn Williams nailed it

Williams was really creepy in One Hour Photo. I usually like Stanley Tucci, although he doesn't seem like a guy that can carry a movie; he's more like an good supporting character actor. I do have to admit, however, that his comb-over and polyester pants were seriously chilling.

Pretty much what I have heard from people who saw it over the weekend. May make the rental queue for me.

I saw it with my daughter, who read the book. She also indicated that a lot of content had been removed from the movie that was in the book. Yet, the movie was still 2:15 long. Like the others have said, a bit too much fluff along the way. However, I liked it - but, didn't love it. Save it for a rental.

Not a great movie to watch, the 45 minutes at the middle of it was a little boring with unnecessary visual effects.

Yeah, just saw it with my wife. I picked "Book of Eli", and she picked this.:D

I thought "Bones" was okay, but not great.

Same thing for me, except I got to pick the next movie and both I AND my wife preferred The Book of Eli.
