Has anyone checked out the Last Mimzy? We netflixed it and watched last night. It has DDEX, and the parts when they fire up the "generator"-. Seemed it was some of the most floor moving experience I've had in awhile.:)

It is kind of fun, of course directed towards kids. My wife and I watched it, and enjoyed it.

Watched over the weekend and enjoyed it. Silly, of course, but quite entertaining.

The filmmaker made a poor attempt to deliver a message that got all jumbled up and convoluted along the way, and I thought it was a rather weak attempt at film making. With that said, the children in the movie were absolutely adorable. Their sheer sweetness alone helped to overcome the stink of an otherwise poorly made movie.

Based on the strong performances by the children alone, I give the movie 3 out of 5 stars. If the Mimzy is ever sent back again, hopefully it will arrive in the lap of a better filmmaker.;)

my 2 cents.. Cute movie, but the message was poorly delivered.

I think you are trying too hard to find "deeper" meaning in it. To me it was just entertainment, and succeeded on that level.

I think the meaning and purpose behind the Mimzy was lost on a lot of children. I think for many kids, the movie went something like this....

1. Kids find neat box and doll
2. Kids play with floaty rocks & box
3.kids make doll disappear

roll credits....

Im not complaining about hidden agenda, or hidden meaning...... just that the message itself was poorly packaged & poorly delivered. I don't want to get to deep into it for spoiler reasons, but the movie left viewers with whole lot of unanswered questions. I can surely think of a couple questions I'd like to have answered....LOL

I just watched this movie today. Thoroughly entertaining! I'm in my mid-30's and single, but it kept me interested the whole time. I think that it would make a good movie for the whole family.

Oh, and yes...there's definitely some good audio in this!
