This one is kind of a dud. It was funny, but the first half is kind of "you have to have worked in the corporate culture in the 90s" deal. They NAILED the look of the people, places, office environment, computers, software etc... The second half is a bit more interesting and points out both the self-serving nature and corporate corruption of that period quite well. It is comical to listen to the things going on in the main character's head while he is doing something else and how he justifies some of the things that he does, but since it is based on a true story, it ends up not quite being so funny ultimately. It is very slow and the funny bits aren't so funny that one should run out and pick it up. I netflixed it. If you don't have anything else, possible rental, but shouldn't be high on your list IMO.

I had a similar impression. It was well written and full of commentary about corporate politics, but kinda flat. That seemed to be deliberate, however, and the flat-footed lying of this character was the main point of his personality. I guess it just wasn't all that interesting.

Nod. I thought it dragged a little. The midwestern office setup was pretty accurate, I remember as a kid with my dad being in places just like that. After the novelty of that tired, however, the movie become predictably unpredictable.

I had to Google the main character to unravel the plot and get a better grip of the story line.
I don't know, I kinda liked it. Not everything needs to be as awesome as Avatar. :D
