A RANT !. The Steam Vent sounds like a perfect place for issues about the Heat. First in Fla we had weeks of rain, flooding in some areas, and now crazy heat and this wonderful humidity. The AC doesn't even seem to stop running, the pool water is getting warmer. Can't wait to see this months Electric Bill. And the crazy people are out at the beach swimming with the fishes in 83 degree water while playing in the strong rip currents. In my county, 4 people have drowned due to rip current issues and Volusia CTY Beach Safety has performed 1,305 ocean rescues so far this year. Of those rescues, officials know that 741 were rip-current related. ....And they say, El Niño, returned and with it changes to the trade winds, so warm weather, it's here and we just started our hottest months, July & August. So what's next well the hurricanes will ramp up in Fla around mid-August to mid Oct. Be safe where ever you are in the heat.

96 here today in st Augustine. Hottest week so far since I moved here 3 years ago from DFW. That said North Texas is having their own heat problems.

It can be tough to deal with excessive heat, humidity, and the resulting impact on electricity bills and outdoor activities. Safety should always be a priority, Patriotic especially when it comes to swimming in the ocean. It's unfortunate to hear about the drownings and rip current incidents in your county. It's essential for people to be cautious and follow the guidance of beach safety officials.

Yep, I've been in the St Augustine area about 3 and a half years, and this is the hottest that I have experienced. Mid 90s for over a week now. Almost as bad as DFW where I lived prior to moving here. And the humidity is higher than DFW.

Agree, a little south of you and when it notes, feels like 101degrees with 68% humidty and setting at 91 degrees it sucks.

Still mid 90s today, pretty much staying inside, No golf for over 2 weeks now unfortunately.

We've had a bit of heat (low/mid 90s) just in the last three days but has been several weeks since the last time we had temps in the 90s, and is really dry (26% right now, 16% earlier). Big difference from last few years (and no nearby fires/smoke yet either). We're supposed to get back into the 80s for the next week. 90s (let alone 100s) and high humidity suck, I feel for you....
