Great news, but congress should focus on a few other things first. Well, it is good that they got this through.:rolleyes:

I was going to say something similar. It shouldn't have had to get that far...but I am glad it passed.

Yeah, me too, but they have 1 year before they have to do anything about it...

The bill currently awaits President Obama’s signature. Once enacted, commercial makers will have one year to comply with the new law.
Oh my aching ears.... :eek::mad:

Seriously, I have no life.
Does it have any affect on people who shout at their TV during political commentary/speeches or sporting events?:eek:

In that case, I take back what I said about Congress being a waste of time, money, and space.:rolleyes::D

Doubt it. But it could be fun to tell them that they are in violation of it.

It's interesting that the bill requires compliance within one year.

Most of the time Congress puts in long grace periods before everyone must comply, making the bill more or less useless because things will change before the requirements are even implemented.

You're right, but they are all so busy being party-line scumbags that they can only come to terms on superficial issues like this!

...that and there's no Commercial Industry Association with established lobbyists in DC!

Actually my woman was watching CNN and caught me up on this and its more like 2 years.... The FCC has something like 1 year to get this organized and in place, then they have another year implement it to work out compliance across the industry..... at least was her take on it... :(
