the best CD player for Paradigm Signature S8

Dear all,
I was wondering if someone could kindly advise me what's the best CD player to go with a pair of Paradigm Signature S8 speakers?

I recently audition a pair of S8 powered by Bryston stereo Pre Am and Power Amp and I was completely stunned by what I heard.

My dealer told me that I have to spend at least $2500 to find a CD player that will match up with these speakers. I was wondering what choices I have for this level of budget.

why not get a cheap well built CD player and a good DAC like a Benchmark DAC-1.

Find another dealer. He only has his own financial interest in his hart, not yours. I am seeing red by that dealers comments. This is total BS. If your processor or preamp will do the digital to analog conversion, but a CD player, even an $80 RC and use the digital connections.

There are much more effective uses for $2500 than a CD player. Besides the fact the CD's are going the way of the dodo, the real world differences between CD players range from small to non-existent. You'd be 10 times better off investing that money in room acoustic treatments and room correction.
