Folks, I got invited out for dinner last night. After dinner, we decided to go see a movie. For some odd reason we chose to see The A-Team. To my surprise, I thought it was really good and quite entertaining. From the opening seen it kept my attention.

The sound effects were absolutely amazing. In fact, some of the best I have heard to date. Likewise, the video special effects were also very well done. I also appreciated the humor contained throughout this film.

In short, this film has a well written plot. It is very well acted. Oh, did I mention Jessica Biel was in it? I mean, she is such a hottie that actually does a decent job of acting. As opposed to being just fun to look at if you know what I mean. All in all, I would have to give this film a solid B+. Yeah, it is that good imho.

Cheers,

Phil

I liked it, although it was borderline too farfetched. When the f-22 shot those missiles though, that was SWEET lol.

Yeah, very far fetched no doubt. What about flying the tank? That was just crazy. Better yet, what about when the tank was driven out of the water? But hey, just like the show the film is certainly far fetched. All in all though very entertaining.

I thought "far fetched" was the whole idea. I'm OK with far fetched if it's entertaining.

Same here for the most part. That is why the film is so entertaining. I am sure there will be a Part II. Hopefully, it will be just as good.

Cheers,

Phil

I never saw the show, but I assumed the movie was farfetched because the show was. I'd see the sequel if they made one.

Did they flip a car at the end? They always flipped a car at the end of the show. That's when you knew that the plan came together. I always loved how they would fire automatic weapons back and forth and no one was ever hit. Tons of damage, but no casualties. I look forward to the movie.

Went to see this today for a matinee viewing with my wife on our 32nd anniversary, she's great. She's the one that has seen Transformers about 13 times. She likes 'em {movies} loud. Anyway, we enjoyed it quite a bit, as mentioned don't take it to seriously. The theater recently got a new/different DLP projection system and it looked and sounded as good as I've seen. The preview of Air Bender looked and sounded pretty impressive. Oh, at the end of A-Team there is a small tidbit after the titles.

Hey, happy anniverary! Like you, I also thought Air Bender looked quite appealing to say the least. In fact, plan to see it very soon after it is released.

Hello anyone in here? I mean, has any other forum member gotten the chance to see this film? If so, what is your take on it? Personally, I was a bit surprised how good it was. Even though it was a bit far fetched at times. Likewise, so was the tv series.

Cheers,

Correct. It was akin to Charlies Angels.
I thought the opposite. I loved it BECAUSE it took itself more seriously. There was ample suspension of disbelief involved, but they didn't make fun of the show, they embraced its roots and took themselves seriously, with comic relief showing up naturally and appropriately throughout.

Charlies Angels, Starsky & Hutch, Brady Bunch, etc - actually made fun of the show and mocked it. A-Team didn't.

Interesting perspective Clint. The question is, however, why didn't I notice that.........LOL! ;);)
