Thanks giving and yamaha aventage Reciever

Folks,

I have decided to buy yamaha aventage recivier (A 2010) - wanted to ask, if I should wait till thanksgiving to see if some nice deal pops up? OR they dont have anything like this on current models?

Any previous experience or information will help

Why not compare the features and see if last year's A2000 model will work just as well.

A new A2010 one looks to be $1500 @ Newegg, and I have serious doubts it would be $700 better than last year's model.

seems like the new one has 9.2 and old has 7.2 channels - will come handy for Zone 2 or 3

Odd ... they both have the same speaker connections for zone 2/3 output on the back.

In any case (if there is a difference) for $700 you could just use a zone pre-out with an amp of some type and still come out ahead.

I still think the A1000/A2000 go blow out in the next month or black friday, $400/$600 is my guess.
