Thanks for the Advice

A few months ago, well actually last year I came looking for advice and suggestions in entry level audiophile speakers. I was wanting to upgrade from my Infinity Primus 250 towers, not that there was anything peticularly wrong with them, I just felt that there was more sound to be had but without mortaging the house. Well I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a pair of SVS Prime Tower speakers. At first I thought they sounded kind of flat and lifeless, but knowing that they needed time to break in I waited. I am very pleased to say that I am impressed, no blown away with the sound from these modestly (for this kind of sound) priced speakers. They have a great seamless sound stage and although some of the reviews that I read talked about the mid range being a little too forward I did not find this to be the case, or at least not to where it was a distraction or displeasing. I primarily use my sound system to listen to SACD, XRCD, and DVD Audio music and these SVS towers shine. Of course I also watch movies which these towers handle without a hitch. I just want to thank those of you who took the time to offer me a little advice and guidence. Now to upgrade my center channel and surrond speakers to the SVS Prime line.

Never stop listening to the music!

I've just got the Prime satalites and am more than happy with their performance. Especially as they replaced more expensive inceiling speakers.

I will probably go with the Prime Elevation for my surrond speakers but first I want to replace my center.
