I got my system set up yesterday. I got a pair of BIC America DV62si speakers and an Onkyo TX-905 stereo receiver (I got it for 25+25 shipping on eBay. That's pretty hard to beat. Onkyo's current equivalent to this receiver costs 230-299 + shipping.) I'm using my computer with iTunes as a source.

I must say, I am quite blown away by this setup. My previous setup was my computer into some small laptop speakers. This setup kicks the crap out of those labtecs any day. It's got a good frequency spread and between the 12 band eq on iTunes and the controls on my receiver, I've got plenty of ability to tweak it. My old labtec speakers had nearly no bass. In contrast, these puppies can crank out enough bass to give me a headache if I so desire. The sound is a lot more crisp, clear, and real sounding.

I couldn't be very much happier with my setup and I have to thank you folks at audioholics.com. You guys were a huge help in most aspects of this whole process and without your input, I wouldn't have bought BIC speakers and I have no idea what receiver I would have ended up with.

Thanks a lot!

yeah, I posted this here and in the amp forum. I got a lot of help from both forums and didn't know how much overlap there was between the people active on the two.
