I wasn't sure where to post this but I'll try here first. I recently ran accross a Tektronix 465 DM40 with the manuels and the packet on top of the 465. It's in good condition although I couldn't tell you if it works 100%, I believe there is nothing wrong with it. It was passed down from my brothers inlaws whom owned a electronics repair shop for years. I would like to know if these units are used today and if it has any value? If so does it need to be calibrated? How much does that cost? What and how would I go about selling this? Should it be refurbished, recalibrated, or at least checked out? Or sell it as is if it has value? Thanks for any info at all.

No one has any info on this unit? Somebody must be able to at least tell me if these scopes are still used? Any info would help. Thanks.

Well, the scope is scope. 465 looks like quite old model and honestly 100Mhz for two chans is quite entry level. Todays models use GMhz to indicate their measuring bandwidth. That said for some uses 100Mhz is still quite a lot.

About prices? Quick look-up shows $200 up to $400 range for this model.

Thanks for that reply. My scope also comes with the DM40 attached and the document holder and manuels if that matters.

Your question may hold the answer.
If your brothers in-law owned an electronics repair shop. Shopping it around to a few repair shops may give you some insight to it's desirability.
