Nah, not Ted....his Ferrari is a different model and Ted just recently got his.
They could be butt buddies, tho.
Let's be honest, Ted is full of poop. He likely doesn't own any of these things, and embellishes his experiences. His photos of exotic cars and holidays on the beach are part of his infantile defense mechanism where he shows the world how he has material things, and you don't so you're a loser, and he's awesome. It's the hallmark of a sociopathic level of inferiority.
I've driven exotic sports cars (they weren't mine, but that didn't matter, they'll still work), and when I've done so, I've taken a lot of pictures. I've been on beach holidays and also took a lot of pics. I'm sure most of us have done all of that. Finding someone who owns a sports car is free. Beach holidays aren't exactly expensive either. With Ted he props those pics up in a comedic attempt at shielding himself from his inferiority.
A year or so ago, after seeing him behaving like a child on a thread, I decided to jump in. I am so glad I made that decision. I basically told him his cables weren't anything but a pitcher of warm piss. In response he showed me a picture of him at a beach toasting the camera with some cocktail. He then went on to tell me how he's awesome living the life on some exotic beach right now, and giving me a toast, and that I'm a loser etc etc. I immediately broke out into laughing hysterics that might have woken the wife. Anyways, after I got up off the floor and cleaned up the coffee from the keyboard, I then reverse googled the image. Doing so confirmed my suspicions. I found it was part of his instagram photo album of him at Fort Walton Beach from two years previous. No offense to the wonderful folks of Fort Walton, but exotic beach, it aint. I then told him what I found and doctored his photo properly with a foot long shlong next to his porn star stash and drizzle sliding down his chin, because, well, in my opinion he was basically asking for me to do just that; so that's what I did. He immediately blocked me, and I haven't seen him since then. Mission accomplished.
I do know he's on several facebook pages that I'm on, as I see others engaging with him. A majority of the time those conversations deteriorate into his usual degenerate form of name calling, posting pics etc. What's sad is that even the most objective wine tasting avant garde audiophool isn't safe from his childish tantrums. Anyone, even someone saying, "sorry Ted, your products didn't work for me," and the guy who thinks the exotic cable market is a sham, but never mentions SR by name will be just likely as a target as the guy who calls his products a pitcher of warm piss, like I did. This is kind of weird, as I can see someone protecting disparaging remarks specifically directed to their brand; not at the level he does, but firmly dismissing criticism is fine. I fully expected he'd come back at me in such a respect when I said what I said about his cables. However, I was not properly prepared for how he did respond. If I was, I wouldn't have wasted a cup of Columbia's best import in advance of his reply. It takes a very special delicate and sensitive inferiority complex at work to break down and release their full Id on statements not directed to him, if not at all. This is exactly what he did with @gene
. Gene has many pages devoted to the snake oil world of exotic cables, and somewhere along the line Ted came in contact with one of those articles and lost his poop, because that's what he does.
1. Ted needs help, and since I'm a human being, I hope that one day he gets the help he needs. I very much doubt that will ever happen.
2. Tell anyone you know who buys exotic branded cables to go with other brands like AudioQuest, or Kimber, or basically anyone else.
3. If you encounter Ted on a forum, poke the bear, and enjoy the poop show until he blocks you. Doing so will certainly push someone away from doing business away from him if they were on the fence.
